Wharfedale Pi 10 vs. Evo 10
Ну, это крутовато, менять колонки из-за котяры. Причем, что самое интересное, колонки одного класса и одного производителя. Может проще котяре мозги вправить?
И как он интересно достает до пищалки, где колонки-то стоят? Вроде ж твитер на высоте сантиметров 80 от пола должен быть.
Кто-то тут проводил сеанс отучения кота от обдирания грилей на напольниках методом «вдувания» полной мощи колонок в упор в кота. Кота необходимо демонстративно поднести к колонке и вовремя снять плеер с паузы.
От себя добавлю, что у самого гарячо любимый котяра дома (серая в меру наглая откормленная британская морда) и никаких проблем у меня не было. Хотя один вид тапка в руке заставляет кота молнееносно исчезать. Воспитание, однака.
Может, действительно, попробовать отучить скотинку от прыганья на колонки методом испуга? Сделать так, чтобы она их боялась . или колонки как-нибудь переставить .

Ну, я же Вам описывал способ )
Поставить СД на паузу в каком-то «зверском» месте.
Выкрутить усилок «по самые помидоры».
Поднести скотинку в упор к колонке.
Резко снять СД с паузы.
По идее скотинка должно с визгом убежать.
Повторить несколько раз. Кто-то на форуме это делал и добился успеха. Зверство, конечно, но что делать? 
По идее, при успешно проведенном эксперименте, один вид колонки должен внушать зверю неописуемый ужас и он должен начинать царапаться и вырываться.
Тут, ИМХО, надо куклачевскими методами действовать: яйца в тиски и пусть попродует не пойти по жердочке
Ну, если не поможет, то надо, конечно, менять колонки.
Но, одна только проблема, котейка-то подрастёт и возможно, что сможет в будушем просто перевернуть колонку в прыжке. Так что, ИМХО, отучивать все равно надо. Ну, а если менять, то, мне кажеться, надо менять на что-либо классом выше. Апгрэйд все-таки.

Целесообразна ли модернизация фильтра акустики Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40?
Доброго дня стереовчанам!
Тут в ветках один камрад упомянул, что его DALI Icon после замены компонентов фильтра стали звучать значительно лучше. Были приведены даже ссылки на соответсвующих спецов, которые могут рассчитать чего и сколько в фильтрах надо поменять.
У меня зародилось сомнение по поводу своих напольников Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40, я сфоткал их внутренности, послал по электронке для расчёта примерной стоимости работ и мне сказали, что за 15 т.р. все сделают как надо, лишь нужно демонтировать фильтр и отослать им в Москву для снятия нужных параметров. Процитирую: «у вас стоят дешёвый электролит и лавсановые конденсаторы, китайские цементные резисторы; у электролитов срок службы до 7-10 лет, это расходный элемент, при старении у него повышается ESR и они тормозят звук, становятся сопротивлением и приходится значительно выкручивать уровень громкости, что не хорошо для усилителя». Разводку тоже посоветовали поменять.
После этого пообщался с нашим местным спецом, и он, посмотрев фото внутренностей, стал отговаривать, мол, разработчики не просто так ставили те или иные детали, не страдай фигнёй и всё такое. По звуку за исключением временами ярковатых ВЧ колонки устраивают, ну и разве что когда хочется поддать газу, громкость надо выкручивать до 75 единиц из 100.
Нужно ли копать тему дальше или надо успокоиться, не ковырять ничего, чтоб потом продать можно было и копить себе спокойно на KEF R7/Focal Chora/Dynaudio Focus 380 для выхода на следующую ступень? Фото фильтров прилагаю.

Одно время пробовал с фильтром в Wharfedale Diamond. Замена желтых конденсаторов на вч головке действительно хорошо слышна. Замена большой катушки с сердечником дала меньший эффект, чем ожидалось посчитал, что затраты не оправдывают результат. Но самое главное — головки не высокого класса. Только замена вч головки дала тот результат, который ожидал. Уж очень вч там примитивная.
Поэтому можете заменить конденсаторы только на вч головке на MKP. Больше не вижу смысла что-то делать. Даже замена резисторов, на мой взгляд, не целесообразна, не услышите с родной вч головкой.
Вообще, нужно схему фильтра нарисовать, тогда будет понятно, что стоит именно последовательно с головками — то и нужно дорабатывать.
Разумный минимум, согласен.
Добавлю, что можно магнитом проверить клеммы терминалов — часто их делают из чистейшего железа. Да и выводы дешевых лавсановых конденсаторов тоже..
И подумать над демпфированием корпуса — похоже, гол, как сокол.. )
За 15 тыс вам поменяют «жуткий отстой», на «просто отстой». Один лишь толстый дроссель сечением 2-2,5мм будет стоить намотать под 5 тыс. руб. Средняя фольговая ёмкость встанет под 30-50 баксов. Резисторы подешевле. Так что 15 тыс рублей не хватит даже на стоимость деталей для одной АС. Не придумывайте.
И + переделка проводки. тот же ЛИТЦ встанет ещё тыс на 6-8.

Superb sound throughout the range. Sound fills the room and travels everywhere else! Never tiring to listen to, Excellent classy cabinet, beautiful timber finish. Much better speakers than so many others that are twice or three times the price and size. Dont hesitate on buying a pair of these!
Make sure you have an amp with fair grunt, to drive these properly, they chew more power than you might think. Top/rear of the tweeter pod a little cheap, but not noticeable and doesn’t affect sound. Need a sub for really bassy music, as one would expect.
I am using a marantz sr7400 which is around 110 watts per channel, and good quality cabling, in a room 6 x 4 metres. I bi-wired these speakers up as stereo fronts and after a couple of days of bedding them in, i am truely blown away by the performance of these little beauties. Nothing even close to the money will touch them! High end clarity is superbly crisp and detailed, midrange is warm, and bass is very strong but extremely tight and detailed, and drops down to levels that you wouldnt expect of a speaker of this size. I turn the subwoofer off unless i am playing bass hungry or dance music — because the amount of bass that comes from 6.5″ woofer at listenable levels is truly remarkable. The Sound dispersion is also amazing — they fill the room beautifuly, and have a wide sweet spot — the seperate tweeter probably helps this. Beautiful cabinet finish overall, apart from the top of the tweeter where the mouldings join, but you dont notice it as it is facing rearwards. You would never tell that these were made in china by looking at the craftsmanship — These are a credit to the wharfedale brand and their engineers.

Style. These may not appeal to everyone. Those tweeter pod may look odd but I like them. They look exotic. Also, at extreme high volume they tend to deteriorate in performance. but you’ll be likely deaf if you continue to listen at this level.
First of all, let me discuss my set up. Here are the components I am using to listen to these fine speakers. I have: A/V Receiver: Onkyo TXDS797 THX certified 135 watts per channel for 6 channels at 6 ohm CD/SACD Player: Sony NC650V 5 CD/DVD Changer 5.1 Setup: Center: Wharfedale Pacific Series, Surround Rear: Wharfedale Pacific PI 10 and Main: Wharfedale Pacific PI-40 Cables and interconnects: Monster cables Ultra all the way Subwoofer: Infinity HPS-1000 (1000 watts RMS) I have these speakers connected bi-wired and my room is about 14′ by 30′ @ 9′ ceiling so I have room for them. These speakers require some break-in period. I recommend a whole weekend of using them to achieve their full potential. I use nothing but quality cables (Monster) with them. Positioning is also crucial with these speakers; I suggest 10 inches between walls (and in either side of the speakers). The tweeter pod can be rotated to improve imaging and sound stage. This feature is only seen with higher end speakers such as B&W Nautilus and Kef Reference Series line up and quite rare in this price range. I must say that Wharfedale really did their homework with these speakers. The vocals are produced with mesmerizing details and clarity. The integration is seamless with the bass the treble. These speakers convey the emotions of music in-tack (as seen with SADE’s Cherish the Day and Diana Krall’s Look of Love). These speakers when used with PRO-Logic II (5.1 set up) can be a bit on the bright side. However, this can be addressed by adjusting the tweeter pod to meet the brightness that suits your style, hence this was not really a problem. At first I was not sure about purchasing these speakers on Ebay. However, as time passed by, I became more appreciative of the talents of these speakers. These are superb speakers for the money hands down. The only complain that I have with these speakers is that they are quite addicting. You can easily spend 2 hours of listening without even noticing it with these. They are smooth and non-fatiguing like the B&W 600 series (which I auditioned too). I absolutely love these speakers and glad that I bought them. The maple-colored cabinets are stylish with smooth finish that makes other furniture feel insecure. If you look closely, you can tell that these are made with quality material selection. They use Kevlar drivers, aluminum tweeters, and gold plate
